JESSE GOLDSTEINCEO/CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Jesse Goldstein, known locally as the "Food Sheriff," has spent more than 25 years in the food and beverage industry. Beginning as a professional chef and transitioning into marketing, graphic design and branding, he's built a reputation for his work on local, regional and national brands. He brings a unique understanding of not only the nebulous world of marketing and branding, but also insight into how those ideas have to be executed on the ground in retail, restaurants and the modern day marketplace. He thrives with very little sleep - supplemented with strong black coffee, spicy food, and good tequila.
ADAM MAXWELLRETAIL PROGRAMS DIRECTOR
As the retail buyer for Fresh Branding, Adam has played an important role in launching successful retail programs of multiple business concepts. A Nashville native (yes, really) and veteran of the food and beverage industry, Adam also holds a Master's Degree in Marketing. It's this combination of education and experience that helps Adam have a consummate understanding of the American consumer and a keen eye for retail trends. Prior to joining Fresh Branding, Adam worked extensively with top restaurateurs and winemakers across the country in areas that included product development and marketing strategies. A "Jack-of-all-Trades," Adam brings both a unique perspective to Fresh Branding and creative ideas to his clients.
Stephen JonesART DIRECTORStephen hails from Western Kentucky, so it is no surprise that bourbon and barbecue are in his blood. (Just ask Great Grandpa x 6 Basil Hayden) Stephen joined the U.S. Navy after 9-11 and served as a Photographer’s Mate aboard USS Iwo Jima in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his honorable discharge, Stephen earned a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Watkins College of Art.
He is a founding member of Creative Mornings Nashville, a previous Design Fellow at the Nashville Civic Design Center and a recovering entrepreneur. He’s created work for the U.S. National Guard, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Soccer Club, E. & J. Gallo Winery, Mill Creek Brewing Co. and Crowned Heads Cigars. You can likely find him smoking meat, sharing beers with friends or studying the art of 8 limbs-Muay Thai.
SIMONE MALAVEFINANCIAL OPERATIONS
Simone Malave, a Los Angeles native, began her career in retail sales and worked her way up to the Director of Operations for a small - but international - jewelry company. Transitioning from running a small business to working with the amazing team at Fresh Branding, Simone’s main focus is on accounting and operations. In her free time she designs jewelry that she sells online, takes her sweet Boxer dog Nahla everywhere she can (including the office!), and loves checking out new restaurants and happy hours around town.
DREW MAYNARDCONTENT MANGER
Born and raised just outside Nashville, TN, Drew has a background in Communications and a degree in English, so writing a bio should be a breeze, but this will likely be taxing for both of us. After several years hustling in the Publicity game and indulging in creative endeavors on the side, Drew began working as the Content Manager at Fresh Branding in 2017, where he is the on-staff photographer, videographer, and editor, among other roles. Outside of the Fresh Branding World, Drew has written and directed short comedies about sad men that have screened around the country, including SXSW. He also works with a monthly screenwriters group called Story Garden and helps coordinate the indie film showcase Salute Your Shorts. A photographer since college, his clients range from Music Row types to Indie types and everything in between.
He and his wife Liz enjoy going on walks in their neighborhood and drinking wine on school nights. It’s very possible that their dog Bolo is a tiny tornado in a stinky puppy costume.
LEO RUBINMARKETING SERVICES MANAGER
After eight years working and studying in New York City, Leo returned to his native Nashville, enticed by the rapidly evolving local culinary scene. A third-generation food industry professional, Leo earned a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and a degree in Food Studies from the New School in New York City. While in school, he spent several gouda years working in digital marketing and E-commerce for Murray’s Cheese, a nationwide cheese retailer. With experience in diverse aspects of the food, beverage, and hospitality industry, Leo's skills go beyond marketing and include deep familiarity of hospitality operations, retail merchandising, and customer service. Leo has two German Shepherds (Heidi and Hank) who love cheese almost as much as he does. Outside of the office, Leo likes to spend his time cooking, traveling, and daydreaming about his next bagel.
KAITLIN WRIGHTGRAPHIC DESIGNER
Kaitlin is a young graphic designer from Lexington, KY. She got a taste for restaurant branding working with an Indian restaurant in Lexington, then moved to Nashville for a new challenge. After working at Cracker Barrel for a year, she finally found her perfect fit here at Fresh Branding. Outside of work, she loves to paint, play video games, try out new restaurants and hang out with her dog, Cali.
JAMEY O'STEENWAREHOUSE MANAGER
Yet another Nashville local, Jamey bring almost a decade of warehouse operation experience of working with companies like FedEx to Fresh Branding's commerce operations. He's the one spinning about 20 plates all at once, balancing all the tasks related to our clients' retail programs.
An avid gamer, Jamey can be found spending time with his family and pets when he's not busting his ass at the office
NAHLAVP OF BARKETING
Most days Nahla will join her mom Simone Malave in the office. Her duties include: greeting guests, sleeping, and destroying tennis balls. She's a very good girl
NUTMEGCBO (CHIEF BELLY RUB OFFICER)
As CBO, Nutmeg plays a critical role at Fresh Branding providing cuteness and cuddles. Nutmeg loves to get her paws into every project we work on - she's always hanging around under the meeting table ready to provide her input.
