Hugh-Baby's BBQ & Burger Shop is one of those projects that is pure fun from start to finish.
Owner, Pat Martin, based the tenants of the brand on his uncle, "Hugh Baby" Coleman – a jokester, a family man, and a lover of good food. The goal of Hugh Baby's was to create a simple yet authentic product built on craftsmanship and integrity.
To compliment these goals, we developed a fun character to embody the restaurant's identity via logo and a larger-than-life installation in the store. Accompanied by a decidedly-retro aesthetic, the brand is able to have a playful personality.
Offering Slugburger Fridays (look them up!) and a place for customers to submit their own "Hugh-isms" online, Hugh Baby's has worked to engage its hometown – and the Nashville crowd has quickly accepted its new burger shop with open arms as a second location has already been announced.
